Invited to the Louvre in the fall of 2006, American writer Toni Morrison initiated a multidisciplinary program at the museum. The exhibition “Foreign Bodies: Dance, Drawing, and Film” is the result of this impetus. Exploring several levels of dialogue between dance, the graphic arts and moving images, the languages of the body take the place of verbal language to comment on representations of the human figure.
