A large portion of the collection assembled by the marquis of Campana in the 19th century was acquired by France in 1861 and now forms a major part of the Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities at the Musée du Louvre. A selection of more than 150 exceptional works of jewelry from the department is featured in this publication, using major pieces to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the collection’s creation.
